Rachel and Ravi

We love working with our Indian brides to create their multi-day celebrations! Each day is decorated with different colors and different styles, and often in different venues. We get the awesome opportunity to create two or three totally different events, one right after the other. It provides quite the adrenaline rush! :)

For Rachel and Ravi, I worked with them to decorate two different spaces for their wedding. Rachel was so fantastic to work with and I enjoyed every bit of our planning process.

The first backdrop was built in a community center in Olathe and was used for the Hindu wedding ceremony. We framed the entire stage with white curtains with lights strung throughout. The colors for this ceremony were green, pink, yellow, and gold, so we did our best to combine them in a festive and tasteful manner.

We created two large floral arrangements of yellow spider mums and placed on them on either side of the stage along with a green up-light.

The tables had pink tablecloths and really simple centerpieces of 3 yellow spider mums.

The reception was held at Noah's Event Space in Overland Park and the colors for this event were red and gold.

We created a dual layered backdrop with red sheer curtains in front of white sheer curtains and white lights. We accented the backdrop with gold sequined fabric. Two large floral arrangements made of red and white flowers were placed on our short pillars to complete the look.

There were two styles of centerpieces used. The first were 24 inch tall cylinder vases with red orchids and 5 tealight holders of various heights around the outside of the vase. We then placed everything on a mirror to reflect the candlelight.

The other centerpiece style were lanterns provided by the venue. We wove red orchids in between the light strands for some added color and customization.

We also enjoyed coming up with a new way to tie the chair ties, thanks to the unique style of chairs at Noah's. This horizontal slice style was meant to mimic the asymmetrical nature of the backdrop. Notice the little ascot on the knot? These chairs were amazing in person!

Finally, we placed red up-lights around the room to add just a little bit of extra ambiance.

The cake was gorgeous and was provided by Creative Cakes by Sandy, who has created several of our most favorite cakes. :)

Thanks for allowing us to help you create such a stunning wedding and reception! Congratulations again!
