Hollie and Omar

I've been working with Hollie to plan this sweet couple's special day since last November, so we were excited to finally see how everything came together.

The wedding colors were pink and navy blue with accents of gold. The wedding ceremony was held in a local church chapel and a pipe and drape backdrop added a bit of color and glamour to the room.

The backdrop had an ivory drape which pink satin draping to pillars and candelabras to create an elegant swag. On either side of the backdrop we placed tables, one of which was for a unity candle and the other for a memorial table for the departed father of the groom.

We had monogram letters custom made and we put the first name initials on each door leading into the chapel. We placed their last name initial on the gift table in the lobby.

The reception was held at the gorgeous Muelebach Hotel, in the art deco hall that used to be hotel lobby in the 1920's. The centerpieces were in vintage cut glass vases that we found in antique shops. We had pink roses mixed with white hydrangea, sitting atop a champagne runner and tealight candles.

At the reception, the monogram letters were displayed along a buffet table near the entrance of the dining hall.

The cake was lovely and we had the opportunity to place the flowers and ribbon on it. The ribbon was tied in bows and then adorned with vintage pearl & diamond brooches.

This isn't the best picture, but it shows a little bit of the lovely reception.

In addition to the decor, we also provided the bridal party flowers.

The bride's bouquet was made of the largest magenta roses I've ever seen and they were stunning! Needless to say, it was huge and heavy and gorgeous! We added vintage buttons in amongst the roses and the finishing touch was a vintage brooch on the handle.

The bridesmaids' bouquets were made of light pink roses with diamond & pearl buttons mixed amongst the roses, also adorned with a brooch on the handle.

The men's boutonnieres were simple, just a white rose with a little leather leaf.

The mothers' and grandmothers' corsages were pink roses with a little diamond pearl button and gold ribbon.

Overall, it was a beautiful day, and because we'd been hired as day of coordinators, we were privileged to be able to spend it with the lovely bride and groom. Here is our main designer, Annalee, and the bride, Hollie, at the end of a long, happy day.

Kathryne and Matthew

Last Saturday we were able to decorate the ceremony and reception for a lovely couple, Katie and Matthew. The wedding festivities were held at the Mahaffie Heritage Center in Olathe and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful venue.

The colors were ballet pink and gray, perfect for an end-of-summer wedding. Overall, the decor was pretty simple but collectively looked very lovely.

Ceremony:

The ceremony was held on the back patio. We draped white organza to form a simple arch and flanked it with pillars topped with large flower arrangements.

The aisle was lined with chairs with gray chair ties and pink roses for a really simple touch, accented with a rose petals along the edges of the aisle.

Reception:

The reception was held inside the main hall. The backdrop was our ever-popular pipe and drape backdrop, draped with gray satin and accented with panels of pink.

The head table was decorated with the bouquets of the bride and her bridesmaids and a thin runner of pink.

At the back of the room was a large fireplace with we flanked with white curtain panels and hung the couple's monogram. Inside the fireplace was a large bouquet of baby's breath. There were also other white panels strategically placed around the room.

The centerpieces consisted of a pink square of crinkled taffeta with a square mirror, and a square vase with three pink roses  and some baby's breath. We also placed three square votives around the centerpiece. We placed pink and gray alternating chair ties on the chairs to add a bit more color to the room. We also provided pink napkins to polish off the look.

We also provided all the bridal party flowers including the bride's and bridesmaids' bouquets, groomsmen boutonnieres, and mothers' corsages.

All in all, it was a lovely event and we were honored to be able to provide the flowers and decor. :)

Jessica and Mickey

Last weekend we had the pleasure of decorating a wedding reception at Stoney Creek Inn in St. Joseph, MO. We don't usually get so far out of the KC metro area, but every once in awhile we like to see the countryside.

The wedding colors were navy blue and hot pink with a rustic twist. There were two different centerpieces, the first being a floral one with an arrangement of hydrangea and a fuchsia rose sitting atop a tree disk.

The other centerpiece was a black lantern sitting atop a mirror and surrounded by bud vases with roses and tealights.

The family created a touching heritage table showing wedding pictures of parents and grandparents.

A thank you table was put next to the exit which held little favors of brown cows wrapped in denim jean pockets and twine.

The final touch, of course, was the tent-styled dropped ceiling of organza and white lights which provided a lovely, soft ambiance in the room.

In addition to the decor, I also had the opportunity of making the wedding party flowers, such as bouquets. boutonnieres, and corsages. Unfortunately, in the chaos of the day, I was unable to get good pictures of the flowers. Below are the few I was able to take of the bouquets.

Singh Wedding

This past Monday we pulled out all the stops for a gorgeous reception at Longview Mansion. The reception was held in the pavilion tent behind the mansion which comes standard with 2 giant chandeliers and air conditioning. The ceiling decor was already lovely but we added some white organza draping across the ceiling to soften the look.

The backdrop was our ever popular pipe and drape with a silver drape and a thin drape of purple. From the pipe we draped purple and lavender satin to four pillars in a cascading effect. It was quite lovely

The centerpieces were a compilation of white and purple roses, hydrangea, stock, and alstroemeria. We made half of them short, sitting directly on the table, and the other half were placed on top of 24 inch tall cylinder vases. Inside the vases we placed three roses. We were quite pleased with the end result.

We also provided the linens for this event. We used silver satin on the tables, with white chair covers and purple satin chair ties to complete the look.

As a finishing touch, we added a few roses to the top of the beautiful wedding cake.

The staff at Longview Mansion were wonderful to work with and the overall we felt it was a gorgeous event.

Abike and Michael

Abike is a gorgeous woman who moved to the US from Nigeria a few years ago, marrying a man who also hails from the same homeland. She was so sweet and very easy to work with. It was an absolute pleasure decorating her wedding!

The wedding colors were purple and ivory and together we pulled together a very budget-friendly, yet elegant decor plan. Due to a scheduling conflict with the venue, The View Community Center in Grandview, we only had 1 hour to set everything up before the party started and only 1/2 hour to take it all down afterward! It was a pretty tight deadline, but my dedicated team was up to the challenge.

We used both ivory and purple satin overlays on the tables and as chair ties. The centerpieces consisted of ivory and lavender roses and a few tealights. It was elegant in it's simplicity.

The backdrop was our classic pipe and drape, with a purple drape and white wisteria trees at either end.

We also were also able to debut our new addition, the ornate ivory couch! We adore the unique lines of this vintage couch and hope to see more of it in our upcoming events!

To conclude, here is a picture of the gorgeous bride who was gracious enough to let me take her picture. Thanks for letting us be part of your special day!
