Shelley and Austin

We love a good country wedding every now and then, so we were delighted to decorate Shelley and Austin's beautiful wedding and reception. The event was held at Acquaint Gathering in Grain Valley, MO, which is a charming little chapel-turned-reception-hall, perfect for a rustic, country, or vintage themed wedding.

Shelley's colors were hot pink and yellow, bright colors to match the bright and summery June day with it's perfect weather. We were excited to provide the bridal party flowers and used roses that were both yellow and pink. They were absolutely gorgeous and smelled lovely!

The ceremony took place outside at the pergola installed on the side of the hall. The pergola is covered in green wisteria branches, but we added some color by sticking white and yellow daisies throughout. We also hung fuchsia organza down the front pillars and arranged two tall floral pieces compiled of daisies and wildflower-esque flowers.

Down the aisle we hung mason jars with white and yellow daisies on shepherd hooks and tied with lace and twine.

Inside the hall, the centerpieces were each a little different. Some had small white lanterns, others fuchsia pink mason jars with candles, and each with different floral arrangements sitting atop wooden disks.

Other touches around the room included the sweetheart table accented with candle-holders and small floral arrangements and the gorgeous cake display,

Jasjit

We had a great time decorating Jasjit's wedding and reception. As it was a two day affair, we provided backdrops for both days and centerpieces for the wedding ceremony.

The colors for the wedding were hot pink and baby pink. The backdrop was a 20 ft wide pipe and drape with both colors as the drape. We also hung small flowers on crystal beads throughout the backdrop for a subtle touch of bling and additional color. 

We also provided some tall willow branch arrangements to go on the stage with pink flowers and hanging crystals.

The centerpieces were small and simple, with snapdragons in a cylinder vase with diamond ribbon wrapped around the bottom. 

For the reception, the colors were navy blue and silver. We created a unique backdrop with blue drapes criss-crossing in front of white curtains. 

We also created beautiful floral pieces for the stage decor using white hydrangea, pink roses and blue lillies. 

The entire celebration was gorgeous and filled with music, dancing, and good food. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Autumn and David

It was such a delight working with Autumn to design her wedding. She first contacted way back in 2013, so this wedding was a long time in the making and finally, last weekend, the beautiful day arrived.

Autumn's colors were hot pink and navy blue with just a touch of subtle bling. The reception was held at the Mahaffie Heritage Center and we pulled out all the stops to making this a gorgeous event for the lovely couple.

The tables had navy linens with menus tucked into hot pink napkins sitting atop silver chargers. There were two different centerpieces that alternated on the tables. The first was just a lovely, simple bouquet of hot pink flowers consisting of gerbera daisies, calla lilles, roses, and green hypericum berries.

The second centerpiece consisted of three vases with roses and hypericum berries sitting atop mirrors.

We decorated the dance floor by draping white organza and white lights across the beams to create a starry night feeling to the room. You might also notice the blue uplighting we placed around the room.

We included a little bit of sparkle in the form of sequin tablecloths and swag at the head table and the cake table. It was the perfect touch of glam.

We also were able to put flowers on the beautiful cake (cake was made by Sandy Danner of Creative Cakes).

We even decorated the fireplace with pillar candles to finish off the room.

We were also thrilled to be able to create the bridal party florals. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and we love how the bride's bouquet turned out, as you can see in the pictures below.

Besides all the bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids, we also made corsages and bouts for the bridal party using roses and hypericum.

Melanie and Reed

It's always fun to decorate a silvery winter wedding and we loved being able to help Melanie and Reed on their special day!

Their colors were silver and navy blue, with white flowers and a little bit of bling thrown in for good measure. We went all out for their reception decorating the entire room with a gorgeous dropped ceiling, glittery centerpieces and a simple, but lovely backdrop. We also provided all the bridal party flowers.

Nadia and Ryan

We had the fun opportunity to provide decor services for Nadia and Ryan's wedding reception at the Kehilath Israel Synagogue this past weekend. The end result was nothing short of stunning!

The room was quite large, 80x70 with a 24 ft high ceiling. In this space we created an impressive dropped ceiling with white draping, white lights and 2 chandeliers.

In addition to the ceiling, we brought in a 20 foot wide pipe and drape backdrop with a navy blue drape and white lights throughout. On the backwall, we put up a 10 foot pipe and drape that was used as the grand entrance for the newlyweds.

The curtains in this backdrop were white, but they were lit up by hot pink lights.

Lastly, we also provided blue up-lights all around the room. These up-lights are the newest additions to our services and are simply amazing. They can be nearly any color you wish and can be programmed to be in sync with music or to flash specific, multi-colored light pattern. They add instant life to bare walls and makes the room feel completely different.

These pictures were taken during the day and so the room wasn't as dark as it ended up being during the reception. However, you can see that the lights still added a neat effect.

We didn't provide the florals at this wedding, however they are lovely and so we included the pictures here as well.

Spring Bridal Fair

This past weekend we were privileged to take part in the Independence Center Mall Bridal and Prom Fair where we were able to meet lots of delightful people!

Our booth showcased colors and themes that we foresee will continue to be quite popular in the coming year. We put up a 10 foot wide pipe and drape backdrop with lace curtains and V-styled drapes in champagne and pink.

We also created 3 centerpieces. The first features a black lantern on a wood slice and surrounded with purple flowers in a kind of loose, wildflower effect.

The second centerpiece was actually a bridal bouquet with antique pink roses and pearl bling. We placed it in a large vintage, cut-glass vase on top of a mirror with a champagne runner and 3 pillar candles.

The last centerpiece had a kind of rustic, beachy vibe. It centered around a "Love" sign with deco balls and an arrangement of mixed pink flowers.

As favors, we handed out decorated tea lights with our business card attached.

The highlight of the day was definitely meeting several wonderful brides and being able to discuss some of their wedding plans. If we saw you there, leave a shout-out below!

Allie and Matt

This last fall we had the opportunity to decorate the wedding and reception of a gorgeous couple. We usually try to update the blog within a couple weeks of a wedding, however, due to computer problems and crazy schedules we now get to enjoy this little flashback. :)

Allie's colors were perfectly fall themed with orange, maroon, red, yellow, and plum. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and we were thrilled to be able to provide the bridal party flowers in addition to flowers for the decor. In addition to the gorgeous flowers, we created a rustic chic look using burlap and country accents. The guests were pretty lucky because they each received a delicious caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory because the bride owns a franchise. Those are some pretty awesome favors!
